Peter could be the poster child for failure. In the passage before us we are going to consider the failure that would define Peter. When we consider Peters darkest hour in the whole context of that Passion Week it becomes clear that this failure was the result of deliberate process. This failure was not an isolated incident, nor was it just a slipup or an honest gaffe. Peters denial came as a result of several steps.
