By the time Moses and the nation of Israel reached a place called Rephidim in the exodus journey their panic was at a fever pitch. Triple-digit heat and parched tongues had made this desolate land anything but a resting place as the name suggests; to them it looked like a waterless graveyard. Perhaps, youve been there before. Youve looked for a stream in the desert and found nothing. Israels H2O crisis mirrors our own struggles along the wilderness way.
