Adventures in Faith: The Life of Abraham

Abraham goes by many titles--"The Father of the Faithful," "The Friend of God," "The Patriarch." Abraham is revered by three major world religions--Judaism, Islam and Christianity. He stands at the fulcrum of history. His legacy is still thriving today in the nation of Israel and the Jewish people. The Bible devotes a large portion of scripture to his life and example. In this series we will journey with Abraham from Ur to Canaan to Mt. Moriah. We will learn what it means to walk with God and explore the journey of faith. We will contemplate what it means to trust God for the impossible.

Mark: The Gospel of Go

The Gospel of Mark is a fast-paced, non-stop, action-packed rendition of the life of Christ. According to Mark, Jesus fulfills the role of "the Suffering Servant." In this Gospel we see Jesus serving mankind--healing lepers, casing the blind to see, casting out demons--and suffering on the way to the cross. In this study we will not have time to catch our breaths or get bored, because Jesus was always on the move. In this series we will follow Jesus' ministry up through chapter 10.

Running to Win: Philippians

Paul's letter to the Philippians has been a perennial source of joy and encouragement for believers down through the years. Tucked away in the New Testament is the happy piece of inspired mail. While chained to a Roman guard and under house arrest awaiting execution, Paul penned a surprisingly upbeat epistle. In this study we will go through each of the 104 verses and find out what drove Paul to run the race of life with such determination. No matter where we find ourselves in life, this letter challenges us to run with the end goal in mind--the Lord Jesus Christ.

Psalms: Unlocking the Mysteries of Life

The questions of origin, purpose, morality, and destiny are universal to the human condition. Everyone has been programmed with an inner longing for these issues to be resolved in a transcendent way. Surprisingly, life's deepest questions were wrestled with long ago by the ancient Hebrew poets. David, Asaph and Moses dealt with man's existential problems through song. In this series we will explore some of the Bible's greatest Psalms. The Psalmist had an uncanny ability to connect the head and the heart, rationality and emotion in dealing with the issues of life. You'll be surprised to find out that the answers given in these beautiful folk songs offer timeless principles to every heart.
