If you were looking for a metaphor to describe the life of Peter you'd have to say he went from "sand to stone." In the Gospels we meet a man who was brash, prideful and often stuck his foot in his mouth. But after the resurrection of Christ and by the time the book of Acts opens Peter was bold, dependable and rock solid. The epistles of Peter challenge us to undergo the same transformation. In this first installment of the series we will take a verse-by-verse exposition of 1 Peter.
